What to do. Baxter thought to him self as he sat in his office. He had little to do today but was determined to make Lucca pay him a days pay even if he only had half a day of work. He looked at the paper work on his desk that he should do. Paper work, the most boring thing in the world to do, filling out AI and EI information on subjects that have lived or died during the sugary. Pages on writing what animals have been created thus far. All boring. He leaned forward grabbing the stack of paper looking it over before setting them back and leaning in his chair. Maybe if he stared at them long enough they would go away. But he knew that would not happen
He rose from his chair and began to just passé in this office, it would only take a few hours to do it, How could he make that stretch though out a day. He looked back at the paper reaching for a ball he had on his desk and began to toss it in the air and catch it before it hit the ground. He could go and ask stupid useless question that he already knew the answers to. Or he could waist some time playing a video game or two. There was also the possibility of experimenting on one of the captured ‘others’. He sighed to him self, he knew video games were out of the question, if Lucca saw him he would have to listen to a rant about working. What he needed to do had to look like it was work.
He turned leaving his office and towards the break room for some coffee.

A slightly tanned hand slowly slid against the metal of a wheel that allowed the owner movement. Sitting quietly in the break room staring blankly at papers he had scattered across the table, the figure simply let out a small sigh. His hand rose from the wheel to switch around papers and take hold of a black coffee mug with the name ‘Jasper’ neatly painted on the front. His eyes continued to scan, calculating as he went. “It’s a simple problem, all I’ve got to do is…”
The male muttered, as he rested his head on his free hand. Letting go of his coffee and replacing it with a pen, he quickly began to jot down different things; continuing his quiet muttering as he went. It was funny how he had come into this room to attempt to get away from work and yet here he was, working. Again putting off leaving the office to go home and sleep or take a moment’s break. Or even. A growl broke his train of thought, as his body gave a last attempt to get his attention.
Dropping his pen and leaning back against the back of his chair, hazel eyes began to scan the room. Pausing for a moment to check the clock, Jasper shook his head. If there was one thing he would not go without it would be food and seeing as he hadn’t eaten all day it was about time he did. Both hands took hold of either side of his wheelchair wheels and push forwards, making him roll backwards. Quickly grabbing one wheel and stopping it, the chair spun quickly.
No matter how much he’d complain about being confined to the damn thing Jasper did enjoy pulling a trick or two, although would never admit to it. So rolling himself to the fridge door and pulling it open, he looked around before pulling out a red container. Moving back to the table, after closing the door to the fridge, he carefully placed his food down. Opening the lid, a small smile emerged at the ends of his lips. Inside was a couple perfectly made sushi.
Picking up a cut piece and placing it in his mouth. The Doctor returned to his work, body somewhat happy that he was at least eating.

Carlisle fond him self at the wooden doors of the break room. He reached out and opened the door seeing Jasper sitting in there a table full of paper. He gave the other a strange look, usually people come to the break room to get away from work, not bring it with you. He stood there in the door way eyes scanning what the other was doing, eating sushi, food Carlisle would have taken him self if he had gotten there sooner. He was drinking coffee which meant there still should be some left, unless Jasper drank a whole pot him self. He came to the conclusion that Jasper had been the only one in the room so far because there were no other dishes that were out.
He finally stepped fully into the room letting the door close behind him heading to his goal which was the cupboard with his mug in it. “’Ello” He said as he passed Jasper, using old slang from his home land. Once at the cupboard he opened it up and grabbed the mug deemed his by the simple letters of his name on it. He smiled slightly to him self as he saw the coffee pot still had coffee in it. He poured him self one adding some cream and sugar.
He headed to the table that Jasper was at and sat down across from him and the paper. He sipped his drink as he reached over with his opposite hand grabbing a piece pf paper to see what the Doctor was working on. “Normally Swift,, this room is work free, being a break room and all.” He glanced at Jasper before reading the paper he held. “Most do not bring in their work, unless they wanted a different scenery and more people traffic.”

Swift sat, unaware of the man who entered the room; eyes locked on the paper work in front of him, still every so often mumbling and calculating factors. He needed to get this done, he needed to finish his research and complete her goal. Their goal…
His eyes glance upwards as the other doctor stepped into the room. Surprised someone had entered the room without even noticing. Giving a small nod and a simple hello, Swift returned to his work. Only pausing to run his hand throw his hair and rub his temples. Taking a glance at Baxter as he made himself a coffee. Slacking. Definitely something the man was doing, but that was no concern of his.
This work was too important. And he was slowly working towards a breakthrough, only a few more calculations and he would figure out what was wrong with his newest injection. In the corner of his eye the man spotted a piece of his research paper move away from it’s place. He placed his pen down and leaned back. Interlocking his fingers and placing them on his lap the watched Baxter look them over.
“Around this time, Dr.Baxter. No one is in the break room. Meaning everyone is busy working in the labs and annoying the hell out of me.” He said quietly, letting a small smile appear in the corner of his mouth. “That and I know all too well. You’d be coming here to get away for work. Meaning you’d eat my food…” Placing a piece of sushi into his mouth, the male stretched.
“Would you like a bit?” He questioned. Pushing the container full of food as close as he could for Baxter to grab a few.

A smirk came on his face as he looked over the paper. Calculations, many of them, formulas, chemicals, structures. He placed the paper back on top of the others looking at Swift. “That is a good reason, most are off at work doing their tasks.” He gave a small sigh. “Also, I just do not take your food, I do not discriminate against who I take food from, I look for what looks good.” He sipping his drink. Watching the Sushi, watching Swift. A man who’s life changed in one eventful day leaving him as he is now. A small chuckle came form him when he placed his coffee down. Being offered the food that Swift once seemed to want to protect. But he was not in the mood for fish.
He waved his hand in a way that told Swift he did not want anything. He had eaten already, not hungry at the moment. He did steel food but only a few times a day, when he was hungry. “Well then, looks like you are busy though, all your formulas” He picked up his coffee cup once more taking a sip. “I think you almost have it.” He told the other giving him a smile.

He listened as Carlisle spoke, raising a brow slightly. “I’m sure… You could never resist my home cooking...” He muttered “And personally, the idiots we work with… I could never understand how they get here. Which is why I fire them..”. Pulling the food away when the other waved it off, Jasper shrugged and took a piece for himself. Looking at his coffee mug the male shook his head picked it up and took a sip. It was cold of course; he never should have left it. Damn how he hated cold coffee.
With a small nod he agreed. “Sure thing… Only a few things left to tweak and I’ll have the next stage of EI DNA… Won’t take long.” Jasper said proudly, although turned his head to the side to stare out at a wall. “She would have loved to see it happen…” chuckled to himself, placing his head onto the palm of his hand. “It’s a simply math problem, I just need to figure out the formula.” He said under his breath, thinking the whole problem over once more.
However, before he was lost back into his work the man shook his head and turned his attention back to Baxter. “How are you Doctor? Interns treating you well I hope.” He questioned. Leaning against the table and moving the papers around a bit, he awaited a response.

He chuckled a little “you just cook more food that I like then anyone. And you do cook better then anything I can.” He sighed a little, cooking was not Carlsile forte. He chuckled once more, they did work with many useless people. He knew how the other felt, firing people because they simply were stupid. How did they ever get out of school. He watched jasper pick up what he could see as an old cup of coffee. He sipped his own shifting in his seat crossing his legs. “There should be someone in here that just fetches us fresh coffee when we needed it.”
“That’s good,” he said not that sure if there was anything else to say. He was interested in what jasper did, but he was a doctor, a surgeon, he did not fully understand everything that Jasper had on the paper. “I am sure she would.” He remembered the young girl that Jasper had fallen in love with, the one He shard a dream with and the one that left him forever.
He sighed a little at the question, “my interns, well one thinks she is here to be the mother of all the AI’s and EI’s. Thinking that we beat them everyday and all the time, thinking that they deserve a human life. Telling me how they should be treated.” He grumbled a little, “should just fire the bloke, but instead told her she is not aloud back down there anymore. Next it is just a firing.”
